“Stompin’ on Cancer”

Cancer is an awful disease, and if you, a family member, or friend has been diagnosed, you know firsthand that it is life changing. The Greater Montrose area is fortunate to have the San Juan Cancer Center, which allows many local patients to receive care close to home. The 3rd annual Boot Stomp will take place at Antler Ridge on June 6th 2020, and will feature an old-fashioned BBQ and Barn Dance, benefiting the San Juan Cancer Center and its patients. There will be music by Narrow Gauge Country, as well as a raffle and live auction.

Save the date on your calendar for next year’s Boot Stomp. We hope to see you out there.

“Sock It To Cancer”

Purchase a pair of these colorful striped socks, which represent the colors of cancer, and your contribution benefits the patients of the San Juan Cancer Center and Montrose Memorial Hospital who need non-medical assistance during their course of treatment.  Support distributed through The Caring Friends Fund could be a hotel room for an overnight stay for an out of town patient. It may be a gas card for transportation to access their treatment.  It could be a massage, a warm hat, a meal, etc.  Click below for more information, or look for these socks at our various fundraising events.

Gala/Concert Event

Skinny Tire Festival

This event occurs in Moab, Utah.  It is a three-day biking event that provides various routes that a cyclist can participate in.  Riders can designate a percent of their entry fee to support a non-profit cancer group of their choice.  The Caring Friends Fund and the San Juan Cancer Center is promoted and is the recipient of funds from this event.

The Foundation accepts funds for any of these activities/programs through memorial gifts and donations.
